Job Description:  Laborer

SUMMARY

Places and maintains cable within underground conduit systems. Places direct buried cables using plowing, digging and trenching equipment. Installs and removes some aerial cables. Installs central office feeder and distribution cable. Installs protectors and demarcation devices at subscriber premises. Requires familiarity with all Rural Utilities Service practices and standards.
